  16. Well I have been hacking for about a year and I would hang out in #hacking on irc.webmaster.com
  17. and everyone would come in and ask how to hack a channel. There really was no way to do it
  18. exept take overs...but thoes don't last long, and myself running an IRC server i wanted to be
  19. able to test my admins passwords. So I decided to write this cracker. The first version which
  20. was distributed only to the members of CatFish HaCKerS was static, u could not change any
  21. settings and the dictionary file was written into the program so u couldn't crack the password
  22. unless the pass was written into it, plus it only cracked nicks. Then I wrote one were u can
  23. set the dictionary, nick, channel, line of file to start on(handy if u have to restart a crack).
  24. Now this last one that i am have written u can customise almost every part of the cracker.

  27. A lot of my friends have used this in there own scripts, that is ok. All i ask is that my name
  28. be in the source. U can edit this any way u want, but if u do then please give me a little bit
  29. of credit in it. So basicly this is total freeware GNU what ever u wanna call it....just leave
  30. a little credit for me in there.

  33. OK basicly how this works is reads a word out of a file, that file is called a dictionary or
  34. dic file, and trys to use that word as a password. This type of "hacking" is accually called
  35. cracking, please do not call yours self a hacker because u use this program. If u are more
  36. familuar to cracking this is just a brute force attack on services...pretty simple heh?

  38. <==---- Simple Setup ----==>
  39. I got to many emails from my last version of people not knowing how to set this think up. So
  40. this time I added a Simple Setup. In this all u have to do is enter a nick or a channel and it
  41. is set with the defaults I use on irc.webmaster.com. I know these defaults are not the same for
  42. DalNet. NOTE: The Simple Setup will only work if the script was installed in the default
  43. directory.

  46. Well to get the full power of this program u will need to use the Pro Setup. In the Pro Setup
  47. u will have to set EVERYTHING inorder for it to work.

  49. Nick or Chan  --  The Nick Name or Channel u are cracking
  50. Dic           --  This is the dictionary file that has a list of passwords in it
  51. Line          --  The line in the dictionary file to start on
  52. Speed         --  The time out between identifys

  55. Last time i receved a lot of mail with the same errors in it asking how to fix it. This time
  56. i am gonna list the errors here so u can see how to fix the problem.

  60. Last version u just unziped it were ever and loaded it into mIRC, this time its diffrent.
  61. This all should have came with an install program and that would have put it into the right
  62. directorys. Then go into mIRC and type  /load -rs cracker.mrc  and it will load its self into
  63. mIRC. Then right click in the Status window and there it is. Not to hard...or so u would think
  64. but I keep getting emails about it......
